Johnson County Economic Development Commission provides Tools for Business on its website, with local, state, federal and best-of-the-web resources to start and grow businesses.
Tools for Business contains a business start-up kit with all the forms to comply with government requirements, links to funding resources, green business practices, business tax incentives, employer resources, online classes and more. It is also viewable in Spanish.
JCEDC WINS CEDA AWARD for City of Alvarado
Johnson County Economic Development Commission has won the TEDC (Texas Economic Development Council) Community Economic Development Award for the Sabre galvanizing plant in Alvarado, Texas.
The award was given for the innovative packaging of incentives and the work of city management, City Council, JCEDC and Sabre corporate executives.
The Galvanizer built this year is the first "Green Galvanizer" in north America. There is no impact on the environment. Due to this innovative green technology, the State of Texas is now requiring all galvanizers to be built according to these standards.
